Master Silk Painter Karen Sistek’s bold artistry will represent the Tulip Festival as the 2013 poster artist.  “Karen has created a painting for us that I think will become a classic for tulip fans,” noted Skagit Valley Tulip Festival Executive Director Cindy Verge. Karen’s artwork will appear on Tulip Festival apparel and merchandise.

The Washington Environmental Council commissioned Karen to paint a scarf for then Governor Christine Gregoire.   The scarf was presented on November, 10th, 2012.
